An aerial view of Peel Golf Course

Peel Golf Course

Laid out on heathland the Peel golf course lies just to the east of Peel. The course is extremely varied, with many holes having been cut through pine tree plantations. It offers a complete range of natural hazards from streams, turf banks and gorse.

The longest hole is the par 5 seventh but perhaps the most daunting is the par four dog-legged eleventh, demanding a long and accurate tee shot over a long carry of gorse bushes, to set up a mid-iron second to the green.

Local golfers adore Peel as this course is highly manicured and in great condition. The greens are often ‘billiard table like’ during the summer and a real pleasure to putt on.

The course is situated on the Western side of the Isle of Man and on the outskirts of historic Peel.

Isle of Man Golf Holidays say ‘You need a skilled touch with the putter; the greens can be dangerously fast. The player with the best control of the mid irons will prosper. Make sure you use the excellent food and drink facilities in a well appointed bar. ’
